 Since 2016, a research team (Yasin Tepe Archaeological Project), mainly headed by Chubu University (Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture), has been conducting research on the ruins of a key Assyrian city site at Yasin Tepe in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, northeastern Iraq. The Kurdistan region in northeastern Iraq is now one of the most active regions for archaeological research in West Asia. More than 30 archaeological and cultural heritage projects are currently being carried out in the Sulaymaniyah Governorate.

 The investigations at Yasin Tepe utilize the latest research methods to elucidate how a central city on the eastern frontier of the Assyrian Empire was constructed and the type of control exerted by the empire theree .Important results achieved, include the discovery of elite mansions and the untouched brick tombs associated with them.

 In this close-up exhibition, the results of the excavations at Yasin Tepe are introduced, as well as the ongoing cultural heritage protection activities such as support for the Suleymaniyah Antiquities and Cultural Heritage Department and the Suleymaniyah Museum.

Admission fee Adult 600 JPY | Students 500 JPY | Schoolchildren 200 JPY for junior and senior high school students
- ¥100 discount for groups of over 20 people, half price for visitors with disabilities half price for visitors with disabilities and free entry for one attendant.
- Elementary and junior high school students (with school ID) are free on Saturdays and Sundays.

This exhibition is a part of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science/Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B) (Project number 20H01328), and Challenging research project (Project number 21K18384).

In addition, this exhibition and field survey received the full cooperation of the Directorate General of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage of the Kurdistan Regional Government of the Republic of Iraq (Director: Mr. Kaifi Mustafa Ali) and the Directorate of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage of Sulaymaniyah (Director: Mr. Hussein Hama Ghareib).
